Ratio Eight Coffee Brewer White / Parawood

CaffeTech presents the well engineered Ratio Eight coffee brewer. Constructed primarily of die cast Aluminum  and borosilicate glass. The Ratio Eight Coffee Brewer comes complete with pre infusion and precise timed water delivery brewing process.

The Ratio Eight coffee machine offered through Caffetech is beautifully appointed with wood, die cast steel and glass accents and this includes the fresh water reservoir that is also made of borosilicate glass. The Ratio Eight Coffee Brewer is Ratio’s answer to a more automated pour over brewing experience providing the home Brewer an alternative to manual pour over

Complete with a magnetic actuated base, the Ratio Eight Coffee brewer will only work if the corresponding glass carafe is in place on the base of the machine. For brewing, the Ratio Eight uses Chemex paper filters or the Able Stainless steel filter cone (or other compatible filter cones) and typical brew times range between 6-7 minutes pending your desired brew recipes.

On the base of the Ratio Eight there are 3 separate indicator lights located above the simple main operable push button switch  which controls the entire brew cycle. The 30 second bloom stage Introduces 250 g water to the brewing  phase to insure that all the grounds used are adequately saturated for the 2nd stage of the brewing cycle ; the “ brew stage”. Once the remaining water Is dispensed through the brewing phase then the " Ready" light will illuminate.

Made with high-quality die cast steel & borosilicate glass and featuring a 5-year warranty, the Ratio Eight is the solid choice batch brewer available in 6 colour combination options to accent your kitchen or office  environment.

How to Brew:

How to brew with Ratio Eight Coffee Maker - Fill

Fill the tank.

Fill the water tank to desired level with fresh, cool water. If using the Ratio carafe to transfer water, ensure it is free of coffee residue from previous brews.

How to brew with Ratio Eight Coffee Maker - choose filter

Choose your filter.

The Ratio carafe was designed to use Chemex paper filters or our custom perforated stainless steel filter, the Ratio Kone.

How to brew with Ratio Eight Coffee Maker - add coffee grounds

Add coffee grounds.

Add freshly ground coffee to the filter. We recommend starting with 14 level tablespoons, or 70 grams for a full batch. For a half batch, add 7 level tablespoons, or 35 grams. When placing the carafe back in the Ratio Eight, make sure you tilt the carafe so that you do not hit the showerhead.

How to brew with Ratio Eight Coffee Maker - Push Start

Begin the brewing cycle by touching the start button.

You can preheat the carafe with hot water from your sink, a kettle, or by running a brew cycle of any size without coffee. Alternately, you can fill the tank beyond your intended batch size and stop the brew cycle when the tank reaches the desired level by touching the button. If you run more than intended, just top up the tank as needed.

How to brew with Ratio Eight Coffee Maker - Ready to Drink

Ready.

Your brew cycle will complete when the “Ready” indicator is on. The water may continue to drip through the grounds for the next 10-40 seconds depending on the grind. You can quickly wipe up any condensation on the front of the Ratio with the included microfiber towel, or let it evaporate naturally.

Remove the carafe from the base of the unit, and then remove the filter with the spent coffee grounds inside. The Ratio Eight will turn itself off automatically after the carafe has been removed. If you do not remove the carafe, the “Ready” light will blink for a few minutes, then turn off. You can discard or compost the coffee grounds.
